It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lovell Harvey Gunsell of Durand, Michigan, who passed away on October 10, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Gunsell and Dorothy Gunsell (Davis); his grandson Evan Gardner; and his siblings, Thelma, Beverly and Virginia.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian Gunsell; his children, Gary Gunsell (Alberta), Constance Cole (Brice), Kenny Gunsell (Nancy), Debbie Smith (David), Douglas Gunsell (Carol) and Rodney Gunsell (Anne); his grandchildren, Michael, Michelle, Jason, Alex, Derek, Brent, Tailor, Jonathan and Luke; his great grandchildren, Oliver, Zander, Preston, Harper, Finley, Avery, Holden, Hayes, Addison, Connor, Warren and Henry; and his sister Darlene.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes - Durand Chapel (501 N Saginaw St, Durand, MI 48429). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes (501 N Saginaw St, Durand, MI 48429).
Memorial contributions in Lovell's name are suggested to the Evan Gardner Memorial Scholarship.
