He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Rothaar and Elizabeth Jane Smith (Erckenbeck); and his brother Ralph Smith. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Cleveland (Jason) and Jason Eddy (Julie); his grandchildren, Nicholas Boyer (Shelly), Marisa Boyer, Chandler Cleveland, Fred Domen, Phoebe Domen and Grantham Eddy; his great grandchildren, Serenity, Trey, Jaykub and Hazel Boyer; his siblings, Jack Smith (Cherrie) and Jill Saxton; and his brothers-in-law, Roy and Rudy Grantham.
