He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lutman and Christine Lutman (Penrod); and his siblings, Luella, Jean and Bob Lutman.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Lutman (Berry); his children, Melody Lutman-Small, Ethel Richard (Rob), Kevin Lutman and Michael Lutman; and his nephew Larry Wright. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mills Funeral Home - Peters & Murray Chapel (301 E Jefferson St, Grand Ledge, MI 48837). The military honors was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of James, to the Alzheimer's Association, Eaton Community Palliative Care, or the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
