She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivan Alexander and Frances Alexander (Eaton); her husband Donald Clifford Grove; her sister Ruth Alexander; and her son-in-law Lyle Place.

She is survived by: her children, John Grove (Kim) of Eagle and Mary Place of Eagle, Michigan; her grandchildren, Joseph Patino (Tami), Nicholas Patino (Megan), Sarah Pangle (Tyler), Kristen Garcia (Austin) and Hannah Schuler (Nick); and her great grandchildren, Jacob Patino, Maxwell Patino, Lucas Patino, Ivan Pangle and Stella Garcia.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family to purchase a brick paver for the Tawas City Legacy Walk on the pier in Shoreline Park .
