She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Schaefer and Eldred Schaefer (Segerhammer); her husband Frederick Koeppen; and her sister Leona Schauer. She is survived by: her children, Fred Koeppen (Michelle) and Carol Ayotte (Steve); her grandsons, Nathan Ayotte and Alex Ayotte; and her brother Marlow Schaefer (Linda). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Savior Lutheran Church (7910 E St Joe Hwy, Lansing, MI 48917). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
