With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Emily Stanek of East Jordan, Michigan, born in Durand, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Emily left this world on July 5, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. She was predeceased by: her former husband William Hinton; her husband Robert Stanek; and her daughter Debbie Hinton. She is survived by: her daughters, Rose Kassuba, Becky Hinton, Donna Hinton, Kim Mellios and Kristina Burks-Stanek (Gavin Fitzpatrick); and her siblings, Gordon Himebauch (Marsha), Nathan Himebauch (Neva), Dan Himebauch (Sarah), Jerry Himebauch (Donna), Dale Himebauch (Joain), Sue Starr (late Norman) and Sharon Coen (Tim). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Calendar Barnard Cemetery (15700 Klooster Rd, Charlevoix, MI 49720).
