He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Evans and Thelma Evans (Somerville); his grandchildren, Thea, Samuel and Ben; his brother Neil Evans; and his son-in-law George Goalen.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Evans of East Jordan; his children, Andrea Myaard (Matt) of Holland, Josh Evans (Jenna) of Byron Center, Erika Evans of East Jordan, Vickie Goalen of Hudsonville and Julie Matthews (Steve) of Petoskey; and his siblings, Elwin Evans of Haslett, Mae Bowman (Jim) of Corvallis and Keith Evans (Gail) of Traverse City. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
