He was predeceased by: his sister Jodi Hartwell; and his father Jon. He is survived by: his children, Taylor Bellant (Clarence Deroshia) of Onaway and Jonathon Hartwell, Jr. of East Jordan; his grandchildren, Bailey Bellant, James Bellant, Lucas Bellant and Andreas Newcom; his mother Mary Hartwell; his brother Mike Charnota of Scottsdale, Arizona; his aunt Mary Lynne Hartwell of Boyne City; his close friend Carl Buckholz of Boyne City; and his friend Jon.
