Leona Ruth Stanek Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leona Ruth Stanek (East Jordan, Michigan), who passed away on April 7, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Leona shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Leona farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ora Harold and Beatrice Peck (Groh); her husband Charles W. Stanek; and her granddaughter Kelly Anne Imel. She is survived by: her children, Barb Imel (Jay) of East Jordan, Bonnie Olund (Ron) of East Jordan, Betsy Olund (Rick) of East Jordan, Chuck Stanek (Laurie) of East Jordan and Chonnie Holzschu (Dale) of Elmira. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Charlevoix Area Humane Society or Alzheimer's Association.
