We announce the death of Winifred Whitney Motherwell (East Lansing, Michigan), who passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Oades and Ruth Oades (Grant); her husband Thomas Motherwell; her sister-in-law Frances Motherwell Priebe (late Gerald); and her cousin Elizabeth Riggs.

She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth (John Hayner) of Seattle, WA, Mary of Ann Arbor and John (Sherri) of Grand Forks, ND; her grandchildren, Anneliese and Joseph of Grand Forks, ND; her cousins, Gordon (Heidi), David Grant (Lynne), Dennie, Jeanne, John, Bill, Patty and Hank; her nieces and nephews, Michael Priebe (Susan), Robin Reneau (Bob), Gerri Priebe and Patti Priebe-Holland; and her cousins, Margaret, Susan and William Riggs.
