He is survived by : his parents, Helen Persondek (Dennis) and Bill Persondek (Stephanie); his wife Michaela Stapelton; his brothers, Miles (Sherri), Andy (Moriah) and Sean; his nephews, Hunter, Lucas, Dean, Colton and Theodore; his mother-in-law Tina Meade; and his siblings-in-law, Drew Meade (Joe) and Sheldon Meade.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home (23720 Farmington Rd, Farmington, MI 48336). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Detroit Inspiring Connections Outdoors or the Sierra Club to further honor Alex's life.
