He is survived by: his mother Pat Thomson (Keith McCurdy); his daughter Avery; his brother Terry Thomson; his sister-in-law Erin; his nephew Nik Thomson; his niece Riley Thomson; his aunts and uncles, Judi Miller, Sue, Rob Koebel, Rich Miller, Bill, Pattie Miller and Mark Miller; and his former wife Valerie Thomson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a MESP Plan college fund for Avery Thomson.
