He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Wendt and Ruth Wendt (Wilson); and his siblings, Eleanor Yutzi (Gerald) and Richard Joseph Wendt (Beryl). He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Lisa Mares (Henry) and Jeffrey David Wendt (Amy); his great grandchild Jayce Winter; and his sisters, Mary Catherine Wennerstrom (late Harold) and Elizabeth Anne Moore (late John). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
To honor David and his commitment to help others, the family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Samaritans Purse to help those in the Ukraine.
