He is survived by: his significant other Darlene Cannon; his siblings, Tyrone Thurmond and Angelia Thurmond-Spicer (Mario); his children, Dwayne Thurmond Jr. (Melanie), Seeara Lane, Duranda Thurmond, Darez Thurmond and Nathaniel McClain; and his grandchildren, E'mani Briggs, Jada Thurmond and Jalayna Thurmond. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Willie Mae Sligh's Funeral Service (22121 Kelly Rd, Eastpointe, MI 48021). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
