He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smith and Mary Smith (Simmons); his wife Kimberly Sue Smith (Bateman); and his brother Loren Smith. He is survived by: his children, Dan Smith II (Janelle Reed-Smith) and Christina Marie Smith; his grandchildren, Breyden Bresky and Evelyn Sanchez; and his brothers, Mike Smith (Julie) and George Smith (Maureen). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Skinner Funeral Home - Eaton Rapids Chapel (315 S River St, Eaton Rapids, MI 48827). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
