She was predeceased by : her parents, Harold Getter and Bertha Phester (Don); her husband George Riverus; her son Walter James; and her great grandchild Ashlee.

She is survived by : her daughters, Janet Wallace and Kay Parsons (Roger); and her grandchildren, Tammy Wallace (Tim), Lyle Wallace, Candy Zenker, Kim Ghrimes (Robin), Lisa Adleman (Bill) and Tara Parsons.
