He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Mason and Freda Mason; and his sisters, Sharlet Bray, Birty Davidson and Sandra Newland.
He is survived by: his wife Clarinda Mason; his children, Robert Mason (Dakota) of Charlotte and Stephanie Mason of Jackson; his grandchildren, Arya of Charlotte, Lincoln of Charlotte, Roman of Charlotte and Grant Mason of Charlotte; and his siblings, Ron Mason (Penny), Larry Mason and Rosalyn DeCourval (Steve). He is also survived by other extended family members and friends.
