He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Olejownik and Ruth Olejownik (Budy). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Olejownik (Flechsig); his daughters, Rebecca Olejownik and Kristina Olejownik; his granddaughter Penelope Olejownik; his siblings, Christopher Olejownik (Kim), Laura Miller (Mike) and Julie Shultz (Todd); and his close friends, Bruce and Deb VanAken. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a college fund established for Penelope Olejownik, in care of Rebecca Olejownik.
