He was predeceased by: his parents, Ford Palmer and Ethel Palmer (Emerson); his wife Martha Palmer; and his siblings, Florence, Darwin, Sarah and Clinton.
He is survived by: his son Darren Zimmerman; and his nephews, Ned Palmer and Ray Palmer. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
