He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Benya and Rita Benya (Stephens); and his siblings, James and Kelley Benya. He is survived by: his significant other Sandy Fenderbosch; his children, Dr. Charles "Chuck" Benya Jr. of Paducah, Jacqueline Reich (Mario) of St. Joseph, Julianne Allen (Jim) of Eau Claire and Tanya Fenderbosch of Austin, Texas.; his great grandchildren, Brittney (Jared), Gianna and Harper Knuth; his grandchildren, Nicholas Reich, Joshua, Anthony Benya, Taylor, Everson and Sheridan Ingier; his brother John Benya of Baroda; his sister-in-law Fran Benya; and his daughters, Paula Cerney, Julie Lischer, Dana Humes, Tracy Zona, Ally Egan, Kelli Hays, Marcie Morrow, Sandy D., Tina Santarlas, Jeri Boomer and Jerilyn Mulholland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hanson Hospice Center or Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan in memory of Charles Benya.
