He was predeceased by: his father Roy Scarbrough; and his uncle Skip Tipton. He is survived by: his mother Linda Scarbrough; his aunts and uncles, Jim Tipton (Nancy), Bonnie Blakeman, Johnie Tipton, Diane McDonald and Rita Leachman (John Allen); and his cousin Bradley Blakemen.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ricky's name may be made to New Day Church in Watervliet or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
