He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Otte and Lenice Otte (Spradling); his wife Roberta Otte (Blue); his siblings, Bette, Karl, Marlene and Gail; and his sister-in-law Maxine Heim.
He is survived by: his children, Faith Dowd (Dan), Joyce Wendzel (Brad), Hope Otte, William Otte Jr. (Kim) and Pamela Candiano (Anthony); his grandchildren, Lindy Esmiol (Morris), Dana Licari (Mike), Pauline Wendzel, Alyson Grumbine (Alex), Haleigh Wendzel (Will Piepenbring), Abigayle Rockette, Hannah Rockette, William Otte III (Natalie), Rachel Otte, Matthew Candiano (Jennifer), Aaron Candiano and Luke Candiano; his great grandchildren, Vivian, Kirsten, Morrie, Beatrix, Sylvia Esmiol, Gibson Grumbine, Gianni Rockette-Turney and Jane Otte; and his sister Eleanor Wellborn of Florida.
