He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Mitchell Sr. and Sylvia Mitchell (Arbuckle); his son Fred Mitchell; his sister Winifred "Winnie" Weddle; his brother-in-law Russell Weddle of Clearwater, FL; and his grandchildren, Amanda and Ashley Mitchell.
He is survived by: his spouse Dorathea Haake; and his children, Doranne Dykeman of Edwardsburg, MI, Robin Thayer of Buchanan, MI, Wendy Mitchell of Buchanan, MI, Helen Kenaga (Mike) of Elkhart, IN, Christopher Mitchell (Beth) of Mishawaka, IN, James Mitchell of Elkhart, IN, John Mitchell (Michelle) of Mishawaka, IN and Walter Mitchell of Niles, MI.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Adamsville Cemetery.
