He is survived by: his wife Carol Downer; his children, Kevin Turner of Howe, IN and Cindy Slayton (Turner) of Palmetto, FL; and his siblings, Peggy Slingerland of Virginia and Tom Turner of Battle Creek. He is also survived by four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
