He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Kauffman and Irma Kauffman (Birkey); and his sisters, Marzella Zook and Pauline Kauffman. He is survived by: his wife Nola Herford; his children, Carleen Shinn (Patrick), Steven Kauffman and Cristina Markham; his grandchildren, Corey Shinn (Ashley), Mallory Shinn, William Shinn, Wyatt Markham, Josie Markham and Travis Markham; his great grandchildren, Cayson Shinn and Tyler Shinn; and his siblings, Dale Kauffman, Donna Sape (Ron) and Carol King (Sam). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
