He was predeceased by: his parents, Orla Sowers and Weltha Sowers (McCabe); his wife Katie of Springport, Michigan.; his children, Mary Jo Sowers and Ronald Sowers Jr.; his sister Betty McCloud; and his brother-in-law Ray McCloud.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Sowers of Ellsworth, Patti Howes (Brian) of Atwood and Rhonda Drenth (Tex) of Ellsworth; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth French, Katelyn Swenson, Joseph Sowers, Marissa Cox, Courtny Howes, Nolan Howes (Sarah), Grace DeTar (Joe), Kelcie Sanchez (Dan) and Haley Polovich (Dustin). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
