He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph McLean and Lila Pearl Miller (VanDuesen); his wife Marilyn Frances Valentine; his grandson Jason Mead; and his sister Erma Jean Shaffer.
He is survived by: his children, Lori (Ronald Mead), Brenda (Tim Quine), Carrie and Scott (Jane Miller); his grandchildren, Kristin (Mead), Andrew Nugent, Cameron Mead, Trevor Mead, Lyndsey (Quine), Kirt Lover, Chad, Melisa Hier, Justin, Amanda Hier, Randi Holmes (Miller), Damien and Kortney Miller; and his sister Helen Reha of Elsie, MI.. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
