He was predeceased by: his mother Marion Tyson (Watkins); and his son Excavating. He is survived by: his father Gordon Tyson; his grandchildren, Kenny Tyson (Melissa), Nicholas Hintzmann (Candace), Kayla Smith and Michael Smith; and his brothers, John Tyson (Sue), Sandy LaCasse (Mike) and Alan Tyson (Robin). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Grace Memorial-Kaatz Chapel (71235 Memphis Ridge Rd, Richmond, MI 48062). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
