He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas Perfect and Iantha Perfect (Silence); his in-laws, Rev. W. C. Taylor and Naomi Taylor; and his brother-in-law David Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Edith "Josie" Perfect; his sons, Jeffrey Alan Perfect (Kendall Hodder), Scot Gregory Perfect, Kevin Todd Perfect and Sean Christopher Perfect (Patty); his grandchildren, Kelsey Perfect, Benjamin Perfect (Emma), Luke Perfect (Hannah) and Alex Perfect (Brad); his brother Dave Perfect; and his sister-in-law Mary Catherine Pendall. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Leelanau Land Conservancy or the American Cancer Society.
