He is survived by: his mother Lois Mae Larson (Newman); his wife Linda Stannard; his children, Richard Stannard, Amber Downey (David), Diane Messenger (Ronald) and Thomas Stannard (Emily); his grandchildren, Cassidi, Brayden, Riley, Ashlynn, Klaire, Tyler, Krislynn, Karisa, Nicholas, Aubrey, Jake, Cole, Kaide, Lincoln and Lilah; his great grandchildren, Nolan and Jordan; his siblings, James Larson (Andrea), Mike Stannard (Kathy) and Julie Beauchamp (Glenn); and his siblings-in-law, Michele VanSkyhawk (Chuck), Penny LaForest and Raymond LaFond (Laura). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Escanaba Eagles (608 Ludington St, Escanaba, MI 49829).
