He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Joseph Sr. and Leona Mary Arts (LeDuc); and his siblings, Eddie Arts, Nancy Maier, Wayne Arts, Rita Nelson and Darlene LaChapelle.
He is survived by: his wife Marlis Frances Jones of Joseph's Church; his children, Michelle Stacey (Edward) of Escanaba, Ingrid Hampton (Jim) of Champaign, IL and Daniel Arts Jr. (Cheri) of Escanaba; his grandchildren, Keia Branstrom (Jason), Mandy Miller (JDe), Stashia Wery, Jason Swed (Kym), Bradley Arts (Hollie), Matthew Arts (Tamara), Kayla Arts and Kimberly Mineau (Jon); his sister Charlene Tenhagen; and his sister-in-law Shirley Arts. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
