It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy A. O'Connell of Escanaba, Michigan, born in Oconto, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 24, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence LaChapelle (Trepanier) and George LaChapelle; her husband George O'Connell; her brother Thomas LaChapelle (Lynn); her sisters-in-law, Barbara LaChapelle and Marilyn Gustafson; and her siblings, Betty Beveridge and Geroge LaChapelle (Sheridan).

She is survived by: her children, Phillips and Dennis O'Connell (Pat) of Escanaba, MI; her grandson Brent O'Connell (Jeana); her daughter Debbie Hiler (Ned Marks) of Sherwood, WI; her grandchildren, Stacie Stanton (Bob) of Deer Park, IL, Stephen Shepich (Jackie) of Iron River, MI and Scott Shepich (Shelby) of Gwinn, MI; her daughter Peggy O'Connell (Raymond Sheldon) of Escanaba, MI; her grandchildren, Molly Bauman (Matt) of Mounds View, MN, Tim Schumann (Alyssa Martin) of Marquette, MI and Bridget Schumann of Minneapolis, MN.; her brother-in-law Ed O'Connell; Tyler (Jenna) and Eric Stafford (Emily).

A musical memorial service will be held this summer to celebrate Dottie when family and friends are able to travel and gather without the burden of covid worries.
