We announce the death of Eileen M. Kaukola of Escanaba, Michigan, who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 75. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vilho Kaukola and Irene Kaukola (Zmyslony); her brother Christopher Kaukola; her sister-in-law Joy Kaukola; and her aunt Virginia Zmyslony.
She is survived by: her siblings, William Kaukola (Jane) of Gladstone, MI, Mary Kay Kaukola-Olkkonen (Ken) of Calumet, MI, Rita Knoop (John) of Durham, NC, Jim Kaukola of Lemoore, CA, Eugene Kaukola (Joan) of Marquette and Regina Kaukola (John Hawkley) of Seattle, WA; her cousin Rex Covington (Muriel); and her close friend Eileen (family: Julie Moker). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Crawford Funeral Home - Escanaba (302 13th St S, Escanaba, MI 49829). A prayer will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church (709 1st Ave S, Escanaba, MI 49829).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Vincent de Paul Society or St. Joseph and St. Patrick Church.
