She was predeceased by: her husband Robert "Bob" J. Blomstrom. She is survived by: her son Joseph Blomstrom (Makiko Kimura) of Simi Valley, CA; her stepgrandchildren, Joshua Gibson of Las Vegas, NV and Ashley Paris of West Hills, CA; and her brothers, Tadao Umeno (Shigeko) and Hisao Umeno. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Crawford Funeral Home - Escanaba (302 13th St S, Escanaba, MI 49829). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church (709 1st Ave S, Escanaba, MI 49829). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (3026 Lake Shore Dr, Escanaba, MI 49829).
In lieu of flowers and gifts, all donations are requested to be made to St. Joseph and St. Patrick's Catholic Church for masses in the name of Robert and Hideko Blomstrom.
