He is survived by: his wife Sally Smith; his children, Aneva Smith of Escanaba, Alec Smith (Constance) of Escanaba, Calvin Sommers of Escanaba, James Sommers, Jr. of Madison and William Sommers of Escanaba; his grandson Joseph Wiley; and his siblings, Mary Rae, Lynn Vermote, Lori King, Crystal Joski (Russ Nell) and Allen Sommers. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
