Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joan touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hipshear and Frances Hipshear (Seibert); her husband William R. Savage; and her son Eric. She is survived by: her children, Carman Mitchell of Sacramento, CA, Cheryl Savage of Escanaba and Alan Savage (Joan) of Traverse City, MI. She is also survived by four Grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
