She was predeceased by: her parents, James Allen and Marjorie Allen (Kilmer); her sister Marjorie Phillips; and her son-in-law Joe Schafer. She is survived by: her sister Joyce Ollila; her children, Andy Zuidema (Jill), Jody Meyers (Paul), James Zuidema (Kristin), Kile Zuidema (Mary), Marjorie Schafer and Kelly LaMarche (Robert); her grandchildren, Cal Meyers (Katlyn), Jay Meyers (Kali), Halle Funk (Caleb), Sergei Ivanchenko, Robin Schafer, Charlie Zuidema, Allysa Niepke (Joseph), Jesse Schafer, Emma Zuidema, Josie Schafer, Brooklyn LaMarche, Gracelynn Schafer and Gunnar LaMarche; and her great grandchildren, Leo, Aspen Funk, James Meyers and Niepke. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
