With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois F. Bittner (Escanaba, Michigan), who passed away on July 12, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Johnston and Jane Johnston (Kuula); her husband Gerhard "Gil" Bittner; her daughter Donna Zeno; her son-in-law Ward T. Zeno; and her siblings, Sally Howell and Craig Johnston.
She is survived by : her daughters, Linda McInerney of Escanaba and Laurel Starnes (Darryl) of Bark River; her grandchildren, Richard McInerney (Mara), Tracy Rathe (Jim), Robert McInerney (Tracy), Michael McInerney, Jodi Greenfield (Jesse), Jessica Mason (Brad), Sarah Nault (Brad), Ward Zeno (Tiffany), Nick Starnes (Kayla), Hannah Starnes (Tyler Wells) and Kyle Starnes; and her siblings, Rita Dickson of Escanaba, Lanny Johnston (Barb) of Casa Grande, AZ and Terry (Nancy Johnston) of Escanaba. She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established by the family at a later date.
