She was predeceased by : her parents, Maynard Swaby and Stella Swaby (Walker); her husband Robert Carter; her son Mark Carter; her siblings, George Swaby and Catherine Millane; and her brothers-in-law, Gary Carter, Wayne Carter and Gerald Carter.

She is survived by : her daughter Carol Maeder (Michael); her grandchildren, Matthew Maeder (Jade), Sarah Maeder, Mark Maeder (Dacota), Emily Maeder and Luke Maeder; her great grandchildren, Beckham, Pierce, Grayson, Ronan and Elianna; and her sisters-in-law, Violet Carter, Marlene Carter and Lori Carter.
