He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Walechka and Emma Walechka; his brothers, Marvin and Kenneth Walechka; his son Kelly Walechka; and his siblings-in-law, Raymond G. Gorzinski and Elizabeth Roschyk.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian (Mroczkowski); his sons, Jeffery (Stephanie) and Lenny Walechka; his daughter-in-law Andrea Walechka; his stepdaughter Barb Roberts (John); his siblings, Don Walechka, Mary Piche (Jerry) and Linda McNamee (Graham); his siblings-in-law, Rosy Walechka, Elizabeth Walechka, Marjorie Blahnik, Susan Gorzinski, Sally Lautner and Raymond Roschyk; his grandchildren, Natosha, Devyn (Alexandria), Austin (Jasmine), Alaina (Duncan), Danny (Kailee Fernandez), Justin (Angel Simpson), Emily Walechka, Lisa DeBacker (Jerry) and Loretta Roberts; and his great grandchildren, Jeffery, Tristan, Kaiden, Rafael, Josephine, Hadden, Everette and Gwiniver. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Anne Catholic Church (817 S Lincoln Rd, Escanaba, MI 49829). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor may be directed to Vivian Walechka.
