He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence Winters and Helen Winters (Christian); his wife Shari Winters (Crimmel); his mother-in-law Catharine; his children, Scott (Amy) of Shakopee, MN, Steve (Allison) of Walland, TN and Lisa (Andrew) of Perry, IA; his brother Bill (Peg) of Milwaukee, WI; and his siblings-in-law, Bev and Russ of Fletcher, NC. He was also cherished by thirteen grandchildren and many other extended family.
