She is survived by: her former husband Robert Cleaver; her son Andrew; her daughter-in-law Heather Cleaver; her foster daughters, Donna, Dawn and Sara; her siblings, Terry Cull (Emma), Dan Cull (Lynn) and Chris Kobs (Brad); and her sister-in-law Kathie Cull.

“So very sorry for your loss. My mom, Gretchen Hopfinger, passed away in May. Prior to that, Robi and I spoke every other week for eight months. Mom was too sick with her own illness to talk on the phone, so Robi would call me for updates. She described my mom as her literal "lifelong friend", having played together as babies. Robi's care and concern for my mom and for me and our entire family was unbelievably comforting as we struggled through such a difficult time. Love & Peace to you now, Jodi”
