He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Patrick Trentin and Patricia Trentin (Donovan); his children, Athena Trentin (Robert Dye) of Milford and Christopher Trentin (Brandy) of DeWitt, Michigan; his grandchildren, Maddie Trentin and Collin Trentin; his aunt Kathleen Knecht; his siblings, Victoria Bogenscheutz (David) and Scott Johns (Lisa); his nephew Eric Frank; Everest "EJ" Josiah.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Crawford Funeral Home - Escanaba (302 13th St S, Escanaba, MI 49829). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Sam's generosity be carried forward through a donation to one of the nonprofit organizations he supported: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriners Children's, or Kathy's House in Milwaukee, WI.
