It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sherman F. Blake of Escanaba, Michigan, who passed away on October 18, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Blake and Mary Blake (LaCaptain); his wife Carol VanEffen; his brother Marshall; and his cousin Charles Brandt.

He is survived by: his children, Mark Blake, Mary Doyen (Terry), Matt Blake, Michael Blake (Mickey) and Marty Blake (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Morgan Pepin Molly Blake (James) and Megan Blake; and his great grandchildren, Sutter Pepin and Emerson Pepin.

Sherman also volunteered at Christian Park Center through the RSVP program for over 10 years.
