He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Gafner and Alice Gafner (Curtis); his spouse Jean Ann Arnold; his son Glenn Gafner; and his sister Beverly Peterson.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Gafner (Linda) of Escanaba, Scott Gafner (Donna) of Apollo Beach, FL and Laura Gafner of Gladstone; his grandchildren, Angie Gafner, Natalie Gafner, Krissa Gafner, Alyssa Rogers (Donald), Curtis Knauf (Brittany), Abby Stewart (Cohl), Blake Knauf (Kirstyn) and Logan Gafner; and his great grandchildren, Sheridan, Waylon, Reece, Autumn, Rylee and Maverick. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
