He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Vogl and Mary Vogl (Hanzlovic); his granddaughter Lauren Beauchamp; his siblings, Tommy Dale, Butch Pitt and Arlene Ardelean; his brothers-in-law, Bob Ardelean and Steve Janicek; and his stepmother Roberta "Bobbi" Vogl.
He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, Phillip Vogl (Julie), Brian Vogl (Stacey), Teri Vogl and Melissa Chapko; his stepchildren, Jim Bovin (Kelli) and Bridget Beauchamp (Kevin); his siblings, Robert Vogl (Pam), Rick Vogl, Janet Janicek, Shirley Franks (Bill), Dawn Smith (Nelson) and Becky Heigl (Greg); his sister-in-law Jan Pitt; and his close friends, Gary Schultz and Jerome Bowden. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
