David Franklin Wilkerson Obituary
In loving memory of David Franklin Wilkerson (Evart, Michigan), who departed this world on July 25, 2025 at the age of 83. David Franklin leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel D. Wilkerson and Jeanette Wilkerson (Smith); his siblings, Ruth Fort (Ralph), Charles Samuel, Harold (Nina) and Elmer Wilkerson (Betty); his father-in-law Stewart Carmichael (Lulu); and his siblings-in-law, June Corey (Maurice), Edna Johnson (Herb) and Edwin Carmichael (Linda).
He is survived by: his wife Marie Carmichael of Evart; his sons, Bradley Wilkerson (Michi) of Evart and Brett Wilkerson (Tracey) of Painted Post, NY; his grandchildren, Colleen Davis of Georgia, David Wilkerson (Brea) of Georgia, Alison Wilkerson of Georgia, Andrew and Abigail Wilkerson; his great grandchildren, Nash, Brealeigh and Beau Franklin Wilkerson; his sisters, Jeanetta Birkenmeier of Caro and Francis Grove of Farwell; and his brothers-in-law, James (Judy) and Nedro Carmichael (Reta). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
The military honors will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Corey's. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Corey Funeral Home (415 N Main St, Evart, MI 49631). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
