He was predeceased by: his father Howard Herman; his parents-in-law, Elaine Clark and Manual Rhoads; and his brother-in-law Ted Trudell. He is survived by: his mother Frances Herman (Hollenbeck); his wife Melissa; his children, Joseph, Jeffrey, Cody, Ciarra Herman and Cassie Bennett (Curtis); his grandchildren, Brayden, Maxine Bennett, Krysten Mae Leland-Herman and Nathaniel Bryan Bouck; his siblings, Joan Cataldo of Evart, Christine Verburg of Evart, Barb Thornton of Big Rapids and Howard Herman (Sonia) of Morley; Frances (Gary Carpenter) of Reed City.

Memorial contributions in Lonnie's name can be made to the Evart Free Methodist Church where they have attended throughout the years.
