He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Shinabarger and Beulah Shinabarger (Todd); his brothers, Richard, Delbert and Curtis Shinabarger; and his great grandchild Nickolas Amato.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Shanahan (Thompson); his daughters, Ronette Boltze (Mark) and Shannon Menzel (Ray); his siblings, Rev. Dan Shinabarger (Judy), Phillip Shinabarger (Tammy) and Ruth Ann Massie; his grandchildren, Kaden Phelps, Seth Phelps (Alyvia), Eli Phelps, MaKale Boltze, William Boltze (Meaghan), Katy McKinley (Bennett), Sierra Balsara (Nick), Jamey Menzel, Michelle McCarthy, Nathan Menzel and Carmelle Menzel; and his great grandchildren, Louis McKinley, Delilah Balsara, Lincoln Balsara, Lillian McCarthy and Ethan Menzel. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Corey Funeral Home (415 N Main St, Evart, MI 49631). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
