We announce the death of Eugene Smoler of Farmington Hills, Michigan, who passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sonia Smoler and Joseph Smoler; and his parents-in-law, Hermine and Abe Nash. He is survived by: his spouse Gail Smoler (Nash); his children, Michelle Weiner, Sandra Lehr (John) and Dr. Bruce Smoler (Gail); his grandchildren, Joshua Weiner (Stephanie Luna), Avery Levy (Alex), Jacob Lehr, Natalie Weiss, Sara Smoler and Zachary Smoler (Julianne); his great grandchild Sunny Monroe Levy; and his siblings-in-law, Kenneth Nash and Suzanne Kurtz (Gary).
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Hebrew Memorial Chapel (26640 Greenfield Rd, Oak Park, MI 48237). For information about Shiva, please contact the family.
